Fear the Walking Dead trailer brings a storm and new characters

Fear the Walking Dead

The first half of the fourth season of AMC's Fear the Walking Dead was quite different from the preceding seasons, and after killing off the show's two most prominent characters, the two I thought would be around until the final episode, the show looks set to continue evolving into something different in the second half of season 4.

A trailer for the second half of the season has arrived online and gives a preview of zombie action, catastrophic weather, a healthy dose of humor, The Walking Dead crossover character Morgan Jones (Lennie James) having another one of his meltdowns, new characters… and it looks like the main characters are going to get separated from each other, which is an element that assures us Fear the Walking Dead isn't a completely different show than it was before. Its characters are always getting separated from each other.

Speaking of which, where the hell is Daniel Salazar (Ruben Blades)? They need to bring him back while there are still characters he's familiar with on the show.

While I wait for Blades to come back, returning stars Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, and Danay Garcia are confirmed to be in the second half of this season, along with recent additions James, Maggie Grace, Garret Dillahunt, Jenna Elfman, and Alexa Nisenson. When Fear the Walking Dead resumes, we'll be meeting characters played by Aaron Stanford, Mo Collins, and Stephen Henderson.

We don't have to wait long to meet them, because Fear's next run of eight episodes begins airing on August 12th. Less than three weeks from now.

In the meantime, check out this trailer:
