The Halloween season is getting extended slightly this year, as Paramount and Bad Robot are bringing us the World War II horror film OVERLORD a little over a week after the holiday has come and gone. To promote this belated Halloween treat, a featurette has been released online that gives a glimpse of the mayhem the film will be bringing to the big screen and takes a peek behind the curtain. Intercut with moments from the movie are interviews with producer J.J. Abrams, director Julius Avery, and cast members Wyatt Russell and Jovan Adepo.

Scripted by Billy Ray and Mark L. Smith, based on an idea Ray and Abrams came up with a decade ago, OVERLORD has been described as being "batshit". The story follows

two paratroopers who are caught behind enemy lines after their plane crashes on a mission to destroy a German Radio Tower in a small town outside of Normandy during the D-Day invasion. After reaching their target, the two paratroopers come to realize that besides fighting off Nazi soldiers, they also must combat against supernatural forces that are a result of a secret Nazi experiment.

Russell and Adepo are joined in the cast by Bokeem Woodbine, Jacob Anderson, Dominic Applewhite, Pilou Asbaek, Iain de Caestecker, John Magaro, and Mathilde Ollivier.

OVERLORD is set to reach theatres and IMAX screens on November 9th, giving Michael Myers and the new HALLOWEEN sequel plenty of time to continue enjoying success before this movie's monsters arrive at the cineplex.
