Felicity Jones will play the female lead in Warren Beatty’s upcoming Howard Hughes film

Back at the start of the summer, it was announced that Hollywood icon Warren Beatty would be returning to the big screen with a film about the latter days of Howard Hughes; specifically, when he allegedly had an affair with a young woman.

Well according to Deadline, Beatty has found that younger woman and it’s Felicity Jones (LIKE CRAZY). She will play “a young woman who develops a relationship with Hughes’s young driver and confidante, before she falls in love with Hughes.” Beatty wrote the screenplay, will direct (his first effort since 1998’s BULWORTH), and star as the older, crazier Hughes.

Meanwhile, the search for the film’s young male lead is also happening, with names like Justin Timberlake and Alden Ehrenreich (TWIXT, TETRO) being bandied about. Also Annette Bening, Jack Nicholson, Alec Baldwin, and Owen Wilson for other unspecified parts.

The untitled Hughes project is looking to start production sometime next year.
