Ferrell’s next heats up

Will Ferrell recently wrapped filming on another sports-doofus comedy, SEMI-PRO, and is getting his next project ready. You probably heard about Ferrell and John C. Reilly reteaming for STEP BROTHERS. That project is getting ready to begin filming in September and as such has some actors joining our two leads. Mary Steenburgen, Adam Scott, Kathryn Hahn and Andrea Savage have all joined the film for director Adam McKay (ANCHORMAN, TALLADEGA NIGHTS) and uber-producer Judd Apatow. Steenburgen will play Ferrell’s mother, Scott his brother, Hahn as Scott’s wife and Savage as his therapist. Almost all are previous Ferrell or Apatow vets with Steenburgen starring with Ferrell in ELF, Scott co-starring in KNOCKED UP and Hahn starring in ANCHORMAN. As previously mentioned, Ferrell has SEMI-PRO on the way and Reilly has his first starring comedy role in WALK HARD coming this December.
