We recently ran a small horde of new pictures from Season Three of "The Walking Dead" and a review of Season Two's DVD release, and I think it's fair to say we're all like a team of zombified horses chomping at the human bone-bit for anything new regarding "The Walking Dead."

So how does a piece of key promotional art for Season Three sound?

In an uncertain world, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his band of survivors must not only fight the dead, but also face a whole new fear: the living. A 16 episode season, the series will air in two-parts with the first eight hours kicking off October 14 and returning February 2013 with the final eight episodes. Internationally, “The Walking Dead’ will return to audiences in 120+ FOX International Channels (FIC) markets the week of October 15, as part of FIC continued commitment to broadcast the series near date-and-date globally.

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, "The Walking Dead" stars Lincoln, Sarah Wayne Callies, Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, Chandler Riggs, Lauren Cohan, Scott Wilson, IronE Singleton, Melissa McBride, David Morrissey and Danai Gurira. The series is executive produced by Glen Mazzara, Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert with Greg Nicotero as co-executive producer.

Extra Tidbit: I actually quite dug Season One - the only frustration that has ever really nagged at me about it was its short duration.

Second season sucked because AMC canned Frank Darabont wanting a bigger budget. If Darabont had swallowed AMC's shit for one more season he'd have gotten the budget he wanted because it looks like Season 3 is way bigger and more in tune with the comics. But Darabont's got Oscars so I understand his not wanting to get pushed around. I love this poster but I really hope AMC doesn't start making a regular habit out of splitting their seasons in half. 8 episodes this year, 8 episodes next for

But Walking Dead now too?!? Common man!

Of course you liked Season 1

All the original writers were on board and the show was great. With the replacement writers, the show went on a downward curve. I loved the first season just like you, and I noticed a huge difference in quality on the 2nd season.
