Filming begins on Mike Mendez’s Don’t Kill It, starring Dolph Lundgren

It didn’t take much to sell me on the movie DON’T KILL IT. All I needed to know was that director Mike Mendez (THE CONVENT, GRAVEDANCERS, BIG ASS SPIDER) and Dolph Lundgren, one of my childhood heroes, were teaming up to bring the following story to life:

A demon hunter teams with a reluctant FBI agent to battle an ancient evil unleashed in a small American town, leaving a trail of death and destruction as it passes from host to host.

For me, that’s a “must see” project if I ever heard of one.

DON’T KILL IT is now filming in Mississippi, and has become even more appealing with the addition of Kristina Klebe (HALLOWEEN ’07) and Courtney Gains (CHILDREN OF THE CORN) to the cast.

Written by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen, DON’T KILL IT is being produced by Scott Martin, Michael Slifkin, and Robert Yocum of Archstone Pictures. Robert Kurtzman’s Creature Corps is handling the special effects.

I’m really looking forward to seeing this movie, and while the cast and crew work to bring us its awesomeness it’s good to see that many involved are sharing glimpses behind-the-scenes. Including here are some pictures that have been shared by Mendez, Klebe, actor Mike Milligan, and actress Michelle West on their Facebook accounts.

We’ll be keeping an eye on DON’T KILL IT as filming progresses and it heads toward release.
