Filming wraps for Tom Cruise & Edward Zwick's Jack Reacher: Never Go Back
There still might be some second-unit scenes left to film, but it seems principal photography has wrapped for JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK, based on these recent celebratory tweets by producer Don Granger and star Danika Yarosh. Production on the sequel kicked off in October of last year, with Tom Cruise's THE LAST SAMURAI director Edward Zwick taking over for Christopher McQuarrie, and a cast that also includes Cobie Smulders (AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON), Robert Knepper (Prison Break), Patrick Heusinger (Royal Pains) and Aldis Hodge (STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON).
That's a wrap on JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK. Thank you NOLA, and the very best cast and crew. Reacher's back on the road to the next place.— Don Granger (@dongranger) January 30, 2016
So grateful to have been a part of such an incredible experience. A huge thanks to the amazing cast and crew!— Danika Yarosh (@danikayarosh) February 2, 2016
Can't wait for you all to see it! ;) #NeverGoBack— Danika Yarosh (@danikayarosh) February 2, 2016
The follow-up, which is based on the eighteenth book in author Lee Child's Jack Reacher series, will see Cruise's Reacher heading "back to his old military base in Virginia to take a woman to dinner who is now the commanding officer. By the time he gets there, she has been arrested, and Reacher finds himself being accused of a sixteen-year old homicide."
To be honest, the trailers for the first movie didn't do much for me, however I ended up really liking it, and I'm definitely ready for more Jack Reacher action.
JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK has been scheduled to open on October 21, 2016.
