Finally a look at Kevin Smith’s Red State in these new stills

Kevin Smith has had a bit of fun teasing the hell out of the fans who are excited to see something from his upcoming film RED STATE.

A couple of weeks ago he showed the trailer to a select group of people while the rest of us got to just hear it on his podcast. Well lucky us, some new stills have surfaced online courtesy of Dread Central.

Behold the amazing John Goodman! I was very excited to see more than the back of Michael Park’s head. Director Richard Kelly got to see the film and had this to say about it: “I have never seen a filmmaker reinvent himself the way you just have. I won’t say anything else because I don’t want to spoil anything. It’s really really exciting. If the movie ends up playing at Sundance, I might actually come up to just see the audience’s response. I can not wait…”

When the list of films that would play at Sundance came out yesterday, RED STATE was missing. But when Smith’s podcast came out yesterday, he said this, “This is December 1st when the podcast hits, and I think December 2nd is when they announce it. They could pull it away from me, but at least for now [we’re going to Sundance]. … Yeah, we’re going to screen at Sundance. We’re all really excited.” So you better believe that when JoBlo goes to Sundance we will be checking this one out.

Take a look at the stills below.
