First Eclipse photo

10.12.2009

From one fandom to another, the fun and exciting world of TWILIGHT.

Today the first photo from ECLIPSE popped up online. So it's really average, but for fans of the series it's a major deal. Not sure what part of the book they are at. It's not like there's a lot of settings, random meadow is one of them. Well, actually there's Edward's forest, but this may or may not be it.

It's possible Edward is talking to Bella (Kristen Stewart) about getting married or it's one of the many times he turns down having sex with her. She is extremely horny throughout ECLIPSE. This actually may further talk about how much of a fairy you guys think Edward (Robert Pattinson) is.

Aside from the sexual orientation of vampires in the series, it's a surprise that they actually released this photo from the movie. Usually they make the fans wait in agony but someone threw them a bone this time. I'm actually way more curious about ECLIPSE (the best book in the series) since David Slade (30 DAYS OF NIGHT, HARD CANDY) is the director.

If you are a Twilight fan, or closet fan, enjoy. If not, you could just ignore this and head over here.

i ran out of stuff to watch on netflix for awhile and saw the first movie. baggage aside and just looking at it as a movie..that thing was horribly sequenced. it was like 40 minutes of flirtation then out of nowhere they are deeply in love. then over 3/4's through the movie they introduce the bad guy for all of about 2 1/2 minutes then he vanishes till the climax only to be killed off in about 2 minutes. what was the point of even having him in there? guess if they are hitting a demographic

(side note, as if i wasnt already checked out...once there was vampire baseball and they were wearing the ll bean catalog baseball outfits..the rest of my brain completely checked out)

To Answer

New Moon hasn't come out yet, but will on Nov. 20th. They are currently filming Eclipse which will be out June of 2010. They want them out pretty quick while the fad is still at a high point, like Tweek was saying. As soon as Eclipse filming is done, it will be on to the last installment, Breaking Dawn. They may split that one into two, they aren't sure yet.

Being a 25 year old male, I don't exactly fall in the demographic for Twilight, and while I wouldn't consider myself a "fan" of the movies, I also don't hate them the way most people seem to do on this site. Nobody is calling them great cinematic achievements, but they appeal to young women, and I can totally understand why. I'm sure I'm gonna catch some shit for this statement, but oh well...just my 2 cents.

Twilight movies are a piece of shit. Actually have a bet going on with a friend that Where The Wilds Thing Are will be better reviewed than New Moon. He tends to beg the differ. Anyways while its not my favorite movie of all time, I tend to love watching Martin Campbell's The Mask of Zorro. The story always gets me and I love the action scenes.
