Careful, Renner

It looks like they're using him as a second stringer to keep previously succesful franchises on life support while theri stars move on to new high profile stuff - the work is piling in for him right now, but it's a quick ticket to direct-to-video if he continues with these kind of roles.

Can't wait to see it. Can't stand Damon.
But the funny thing is Renner looks very similar to Damon in that pic - just way more beautiful.

I really like Renner. But something about that pic, of all first pics they might choose to release, makes me think they're working overtime to make him Matt Damon. I'm sure I'm imposing some of my own biases here. Gilroy's style is (and I hope stays) different from Greengrass', and with a different lead blah blah blah. I just wish they had a stronger first impression.

I'm down.

Renner is good. Gilroy is the voice behind all three films and with Joan Allen, Scott Glenn and others returning to provide connective tissue, this could really work. Gilroy is simpy wrapping another story around the Bourne universe.

This isn't a Bourne film without Damon. It's The Bourne Legacy - the legacy created by the Treadstone program which got re-built as BlackBriar. Damon will come back after.

I'm no Matt Damon hater, but after all these years, and all the good movies he's been in, his name attached to a movie doesn't get me excited. The last Bourne sucked, so I hope this wraps it up on a high note.

Actually, Matt Damon hated the script for 'The Bourne ULTIMATUM,' not this one. But he does have a lot of trash to say about Tony Gilroy as a writer in general, so take that with a grain of salt.

After seeing him in MI:4, i have a new found confidence that this movie will be good. He can certainly handle action....just go easy on the shaky cam action sequences!

He looks like he's in a photo spread for GQ. It tells me nothing of the quality of the story or the film. I'm excited to finally see him anchor another movie- he was electric in Hurt Locker, even if its overrated as a war film- but otherwise my jury is way the fuck out.
