First look at Hugh Jackman on the set of Wolverine 3

06.01.2016

Untitled Wolverine Sequel James Mangold Hugh Jackman Patrick Stewart Stephen Merchant Banner

Hugh Jackman has teased that WOLVERINE 3 will be loosely based on Mark Millar's Old Man Logan comic book storyline, and he does look a bit like that version of the character in these first set pics from the upcoming movie. Filming for the currently untitled THE WOLVERINE sequel kicked off last month in New Orleans, and Just Jared has shared several photos from the production of Jackman, who is sporting a very scruffy beard and suit.

Not much is known about the plot of the comic book movie, but it's been confirmed that Patrick Stewart will reprise his role as Professor X in the threequel. The film will mark the final appearance of Jackman as the mutant, which has led some to believe that it will also draw inspiration from the Death of Wolverine comic arc. What do you think Logan will be up to in Jackman's final solo outing as Wolverine?

WOLVERINE 3 also stars Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, Eriq La Salle and Elise Neal, and is scheduled to be released on March 3, 2017.

I like the old, grizzled look. Only thing missing is a cigar. Hopefully the next Wolverine movie follows in the footsteps of The Wolverine in terms of quality.

Hoping these are flash back scenes.

Old Man Logan will be awesome, but this doesn't look like it unless these are (hopefully) flashback.

I thought this was going to have more of a Mad Max road trip western vibe to it. So far it doesn't...

There are some great XMen story arcs out there, but for the life of my I don't get the appeal of Old Man Wolverine

I just finished reading it about an hour ago and there's no character development, no arc, only a very hackneyed plot that reads like really bad fan fiction. I guess maybe it's cool if you like mindless action, but even then the action in other books(including just about any Wolverine story done by Frank Miller) makes it look pretty weak by comparison. I jut don't get how people actually think it's one of the best Wolverine stories out there.

Mangold did a lot right in the previous film

Mangold did a lot right in the previous film though and his resume is pretty solid, so I'm still d for the film, just majorly disappointed by the comic.

Why does James Mangold insist on putting one of the most rugged, informal, and burly looking comic book heroes in suits? He did it with the last one, now again with this. Please tell me it's not another funeral scene...ughh

Was just going to post the same thing. I don't think i've ever seen him in the suit other than the last film. He just doesn't care enough to put one on, even if he is a limo driver here.

Loving the look. And as much as I love his portrayal and the character, I wouldn't actually mind Wolverine finally finding peace within himself and his life and possibly dieing in this film. Would be a hell of a way for Wolverine and Hugh to go out on.

Is he a limo passenger or a limo driver in the future? I want to see him get fired for carving somebody up.

Beard is not wolverinish enough. Plus I don't know if the movie will be as great as the actual story without the marvel studio characters.

Not grey enough in my opinion. Could be a shot before the world crumbles, or if that's how the script plays out.

Instead of X-Men movies or Wolverine movies with a few neat Wolverine moments, I'd just like one really good Wolverine movie.

I was expecting more grey hair and a Mad Max-esque environment.
I wasn't expecting a suit and a limo. I'm interested to see how this plays out.

I definitely think Logan should die in this movie that way he can receive closure and the franchise can focus on a new mutants instead of recycling the same characters.
