First official trailer for Andrew Niccol's sci-fi thriller In Time is now online

Aug. 3, 2011by: George Merchan

We've been treated to images, posters, and a 4-minute long promo reel out of Comic Con, but today we're finally getting our first official trailer for Andrew Niccol's sci-fi thriller IN TIME. And thanks to its premise, it's not only filled to the brim with young and beautiful people we'd love to bone, but it actually looks interesting too!

IN TIME, starring Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, Olivia Wilde, Cillian Murphy, Johnny Galecki, Matt Bomer, Alex Pettyfer, and "Mad Men" man Vincent Kartheiser, opens October 28th.

Synopsis: When Will Salas is falsely accused of murder, he must figure out a way to bring down a system where time is money - literally - enabling the wealthy to live forever while the poor, like Will, have to beg, borrow, and steal enough minutes to make it through another day.

Extra Tidbit: Holy MILF, Batman! Olivia Wilde plays Timberlake's mom in this!

I liked the trailer better that was attached to Cowboys and Aliens, but regardless- I was thoroughly enjoyed.

Vincent Kartheiser hasn't changed since Angel... Between him and Matt Bomer (White Collar/Chuck) and Johnney Galecki (big bang theory) it's very heavy on the tv-series actors... Not surprising since TV Series are getting more and more popular...

I actually think this looks great and is much more intriguing than John Carter. Amanda looks beautiful as always, Cilian has played a great villain before, and I think Timberlake has acceptable acting after seeing him in SNL, Alpha Dog, Black Snake Moan, and The Social Network

Looks fresh. I'm thrilled to see Syntax being used as the trailer music. Good to see directors reaching past the mainstream when it comes to little things like this. Theirs a vast amount of untapped talent.

The trailer looked great

I'm in agreement with Walter Draper on this...looks solid. I'm up for JT too and see if he can handle this type of role. Can't help but say the kid is urber talented and has grown on me a bit. But I'll never forget when he got Punk'd and cried when they took his SUV...haha!

looks solid

the concept is interesting.
the cast is solid
timberlake should make a great leading man- if social network has shown people anything its that he can act.
i think this movie is definitely worth a shot.

I actually think Timberlake's a pretty decent actor. At least up until Friends With Benefits he deliberately avoided pretty boy roles. He played a satisfyingly creepy and paranoid douchebag in The Social Network, and I really liked his scared soldier role in Black Snake Moan.

This movie looks...okay. It seems like typical quasi-fascist near-future fugitive loner fare in the Repo Men/Equilibrium/The Island/Logan's Run mold. If it gets good reviews, well good, but the trailer does nothing

Looks good

Why is everyone hating on Timberlake? I don't get it. Everything I've seen him in before has impressed me. He seems like a very talented guy. I was never a fan of his music, but from his SNL skits to his roles in Alpha Dog and Social Network, I've liked him. What am I missing?

Sounds interesting. It's a shame I'd have to put up with Timberlake's weaselly little twelve-year-old face in order to watch it.

Everybody looks fine...

besides Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried. They don't look believable and the action sequences with JT look awkward.

Too bad JT's in it

I am so sick and f***ing tired of Justin Timberlake showing up in every other movie. It's to the point where I straight up make a plan to NOT see it if it's got him in it. Am I the only person that finds him incredibly annoying no matter how cool he thinks he is?
What's next, Scorsese?

I don't care if it's the greatest movie of all time, I won't pay to watch a movie with him in it. He's a smug little prick and I can't stand him.

Leonard is in it!

Jim Parsons should have played the Cillian Murphy role as Sheldon Cooper to hunt Leonard down for stealing time. Epic!

Ehh

The concept sounded better on paper. Timberlake doesn't help the movie either.

Interesting concept. Seems wasted on a leading man like Timberlake.
