Today is the day we celebrate mothers around the world with last-minute gifts, store-brand chocolates and that one magical phone call a year. But others are finding more unique ways to celebrate the holiday, including director Darren Aronofsky, who marked the occasion by posting the first poster for his movie MOTHER! starring Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem.

Featuring some stunning artwork it takes you a moment to look past the artistry to notice the horrifying image of Lawrence holding her own heart. Is that romantic? I think it’s romantic? I do know it's intense.
Anyway, there aren’t many details about the story other than it’s about a couple whose relationship is put to the test when an uninvited guest comes and uproots their peaceful life. We will get a better idea of the flick when a trailer drops, which could be soon given the release of the poster.
I love me some Darren Aronofsky, and even thought his biblical epic NOAH wasn’t half bad. I’m excited to see him back in the director chair, especially for this kind of thriller/mystery film. The man has a special gift for working with actors, so hopefully we can expect some great work from Lawrence and Bardem. I mean, she’s literally giving her heart to the role!
MOTHER! also stars Michelle Pfeiffer, Kristen Wiig, Ed Harris, Domhnall Gleeson and arrive on October 13 and catch Barden in PIRATES 5 on May 26.
