First set pictures from Captain America: The Winter Soldier with Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Filming for CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER started filming this month and JFX Online has a first look at stars Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson in their new duds for the film.

The pictures were taken Monday night as the crew filmed a scene for the movie in Los Angeles. They are spy pictures so the images are a bit grainy and small but you can still see there has been some slight changes to the costumes. Captain America's costume looks like it's a different shade of blue and it does look like the outfit is the same as the concept art that was previously released.

Take a look:

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER is scheduled to hit theaters on April 4th, 2014.

Extra Tidbit: The working title for CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER is FREEZER BURN. Nice touch guys.

You guys are blind, this suit is horrible

Might as make the Shield Brown, Silver and Black while they are at it. I swear, some fan comments just seep of "I'll take whatever we get, yay" without and regard of "Hey, why drastically change the suit from Avengers so damn much". Nope, you open up and relax that gag reflex.

Or we've read the comics and totally understand the evolution and references to the comic book incarnation.

I had no problem with the Captain's outfit. It's red, white, and blue so it should stay that way.

Digging Black Widow's new hair cut.

Where do you see red? They did the brown substitution crap again, like they did in the first film.

I'm liking the outfit very much, even though it shows very little. Hope to see a high-res of it pretty soon. Good to see Black Widow with long hair again.

Looks awesome! Much Better!

The original costume was getting there, except for the helmet which was just way too bulky. The costume on the other hand was a bit corny but it worked, he looked like Captain America when he wasn't wearing the helmet. The helmet just ruined the proportions of Cap, his head is supposed to appear small in comparison to his superfied muscle bound body, but this seems to cut down on that bulk and give Cap a more modern and tactical costume, but still being very Captain America-ish. Nice job guys,

Yup.

I like the costume.

I did think that The Avengers costume was fine, but the helmet needed work to look a bit less streamlined. This costume is a great nod to the Steve Rogers costume...and also kinda works as a alternate costume for a more espionage orientated Cap. This way he can go back to the complete Red, White and Blue when the country needs its public figurehead.

Unlike most, I didn't have any issue with Captain America's costume in the Avengers. That said, from what I can see, this new costume is quite an improvement. I also love that the Black Widow's hair is long. Again, nothing against the first two hairstyles she was rocking but this one is the best I've seen yet.

Looks Awesome!

I have no idea what's happening in this scene or how it factors into the plot at all. But Captain America's costume looks awesome! I love how they're incorporating the Steve Rogers costume into the Cap costume. It's a well done update from the previous two costumes (nothing wrong with CA1 costume, Avengers costume left something to be desired).
Can't really get a clear shot of Black Widow's new costume, but cool to see she has, what looks like, a prominent role still in the Marvel Phase 2.

Aha! So it's actually gonna be a bit of modern Steve Rogers' costume.

Good that Scarlett is in it

because I just don't know if a pure Captain America film would catch me. I watched the first one multiple times but just can't care for it very much beside the retro-style. But the inclusion of Winter Soldier, Falcon and Black Widow makes this interesting for me and the costume improved alot to the cheese version from the Avengers.

Your comment makes zero sense. Because Cap Am1 had red skull. Bucky. Dr zola. Dum dum. All characters that are comparable to falcon...the winter soldier (bucky) etc

It makes sense to me. I think the point he's trying to make is that Cap as a character really works best when he's the lead of a team (i.e. Avengers in the comics). So it will be cool to see him as the lead of a crew of superheroes that are more secondary to his characters.

Regarding CA1, true he had a team but aside from Bucky, most of those characters in his unit are unknowns to the average fan (or movie-goer). And Dr. Zola? Didn't even know he was in the film. And I don't think Red

The thing is just, I am not a fan of the character in general. And like MickLoud said, I liked him better in the Avengers, because he is part of a team.
A solo Cap movie set in the modern times just wouldn't be appealing to me, but with the inclusion of those, (to me) more interesting characters makes the movie more interesting for me again.
This is just my taste, you don't have to agree with it ;)
