First teaser for HBO's Game Change with Harris/Moore as McCain/Palin

12.22.2011

It may be a TV channel, but HBO movies are not of the Lifetime variety. They've made incredible films in recent years, most notably RECOUNT with Kevin Spacey and YOU DON'T KNOW JACK with Al Pacino.

Their next is GAME CHANGE which focuses on the McCain campaign decision to pick Sarah Palin as his running mate in the 2008 presidential election. Ed Harris and Julianne Moore fill the top two roles with Woody Harrelson as a campaign adviser.

The first teaser is below and wow, I'm impressed with how both actors have transformed themselves. If I had to guess, this won't be a pretty picture of either figure, but I'm looking forward to seeing what HBO has done with the story.

Extra Tidbit: Moore is no Tina Fey, but she'll do.

Wow, they managed to make me *not* want to boink Julianne Moore. That's a first.

Republican thinking for choosing Palin:
"Everyone knows that women don't actually pay attention to politics. They only wanted to vote for Hilary because she's also a woman. So if we get ourselves a woman on our side they'll vote for her because she's a woman! Oh, and let's make sure our woman is prettier than Hilary, because then she'll be more popular with everyone!"

Democrat thinking for choosing Obama: he's black, therefore the race card can be pulled if anyone opposes even a single element in his administration's policies.

P.S. The vast majority of Republicans I've met don't like Palin.

you two just reminded me why politics is so annoying and unwelcome on a movie site.

two know-it-alls who know nothing and speak in unhelpful generalities. I can't tell which of you is the biggest dipshit.

You can't tell sarcasm when you read it? What she said was completely stereotypical and presumptuous. That's why I, in a mocking manner, responded with something similar. I do not belong to either party (Republican or Democrat).

I don't belong to any party either. I'm an independent.

Unfortunately, it's leftists these days who exhibit the most intolerant and stubbornly adolescent behavior.

Moore isn't doing a caricature, so in some ways she might even be better than Fey (more scary than funny). I still can't picture Ed Harris doing McCain. I mean, the makeup is right, but I still wish they cast William Devane.
