First trailer for David Ayer’s WWII tank drama Fury with Brad Pitt rolls in

We've seen quite a few set pics, official images, and even a featurette from director David Ayer's FURY and now the full trailer for the WWII drama has rolled in. Starring Brad Pitt as "Wardaddy," the leader of a group of soldiers on a tank crew that includes Shia "I'm-not-famous-anymore" LaBeouf, Jon Bernthal, Logan Lerman, and Michael Pena, the flick looks battle ready and a solid entry in the war film genre. Ayer didn't have too much luck with SABOTAGE, his recent actioner with Arnold Schwarzenegger, but with his usual hardcore grit in tact, it looks like he's still bringing his style and punch to the trenches regardless.

Take a look:

Here's the synopsis:

April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and out-gunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

Looks like a really kick ass flick to me and a perfect movie to shake things up during the winter season. Pitt can be rather choosy with his roles and it's nice to see him branch out a bit and embrace the action hero role a little more. It's not the first time we've seen him as a WWII soldier, such as his role as Aldo Raine in INGLORIOUS BASTERDS, but this one looks a bit less cartoonish and more straightforward. Then again, he is called "Wardaddy" so there's that. Either way, I'm enlisting for this one.

FURY rolls into theaters on November 14, 2014.
