First there’s news that James Cameron will be directing two AVATAR sequels as his next project, now we have the first trailer for the 3D cave diving film that he’s executive producing, SANCTUM. I’m sure you’re probably more interested in one of those items than the other, but my shift starts after the cooler story dropped, so whatever.
We all know that James Cameron loves underwater filming (TITANIC, THE ABYSS) so it’s no surprise to see him attached here. The film itself however? It’s like THE DESCENT with more water and less Gollum-like demon creatures. Specifically, no creatures at all.
So it’s a battle against earth itself, which I’m sure can be exciting, but nothing about this trailer got me terribly enthused. Check it out here or in HD at Apple.
