First trailer for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is now online

06.17.2010

For what's sure to be one of the year's bigger films - and only about 6 months away from release - I'm surprised we've seen so little from THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER. But now it seems we're finally getting something meaty for the third film entry of the classic C.S. Lewis literary series: a full-length trailer!

THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER opens everywhere on December 10th.

Synopsis: Lucy and Edmund Pevensie return to Narnia with their cousin Eustace where they meet up with Prince Caspian for a trip across the sea aboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader. Along the way they encounter dragons, dwarves, merfolk, and a band of lost warriors before reaching the edge of the world.

Loved the books, can't wait...

I've read all these books probably 3 or 4 times each over the years, and I love this series. As for the movie, it looks very good, and I can't wait for it. I am a fan of the first 2, and I'm pretty sure I won't be disappointed by this one, either.

One thing... I can understand adding a battle to this story, as they want to sort of "liven" it up a little, throw in some action. Ok, that's fine. But why are we still seeing the White Witch? Please... No more of her. I have a feeling that she

Please... No more of her. I have a feeling that she will be making an appearance in all the films, and that it will be her that will be instrumental in the events that lead to the Last Battle - which is NOT the case. Oh well.... I know they change things, and to a certain degree I'm okay with it... but please don't go overboard. (hmm, maybe that was a bad choice of word considering!)

As for a movie I'm really looking forward to - The Last Battle (as long as they don't change it too much...)

Voyage of the Dawn Treader was always my favorite Narnia book. Granted, I haven't read them in quite a while. Anyway, I'm excited.

this looks pretty good so far! I'm confused though. I've never read the books, but isn't this the one where only two of the siblings are in it? Why did I see all of them?

I like the first two, and this looks to be more of the same, which in this case, is a good thing.

With Harry Potter coming to an end and The Hobbit still in development hell, Narnia seems like the best place to get my fantasy fix. As for the extra tidbit, do they actually plan on making The Magician's Nephew and The Horse and His Boy? They don't involve the kids from the other movies and take place before the events of this movie. I think it would be cool to see them, but I'm not sure there would be a whole lot of demand.

If they all do really well, they'll probably make them as a "prequel" series, like The Hobbit.

My order is 2,1,4,3,5,6,7

They just began to get worse and worse. The Last Battle was a heaping pile of shit.

They better not ruin it!!!

I'm excited for this movie now! Voyage of the Dawn Treader was always my favorite Narnia book but after the last two films that were just ho-hum... I my excitement for this kind of waned. But this looks excellent. It looks like they kept most of the ending as I pictured it (the ocean of lillies, the wall of water at the end of the world, Ramandu's daughter...) and aren't gonna have any added battles and stuff. I don't know why they keep feeling they need to stick the white witch back in these

She's dead... I'm thinking they keep having her show up, even if it is just a vision or whatever so when Silver Chair comes along, they're gonna try and call The Lady of Green Curdle and the White Witch one and the same... they are not!!

By the way...

Neither Susan, Peter or the White Witch appear in this book, nor there is any battle. I hope they don't take too much liberties.

I don't mind the religious stuff, it comes with the territory

I've been looking forward since first film to watch The Last Battle on screen, if they respect the source, it'll become a huge spectacle with a unique ending. I hope this one succeeds.

I gave up after the first part. Just more religious propaganda. No thanks.

Looks better than Prince Crapian

I seriously was blown away by the trailer, having never read any of the books besides The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe, I'm hoping the White Queen comes back in a larger capacity than she did in PC.

Looks fantastic. I enjoyed both Narnia films and I loved the books growing up, so I'll kind of always have a soft spot. I personally am looking most forward to The Silver Chair.

Nice trailer, but the "Two Steps From Hell" music was a much better fit in the Mass Effect 2 launch trailer: [link]

Hm...

Having been entirely underwhelmed by this first two, this actually looks pretty good. Maybe it's just the two older kids who were annoying me all along.
