Five filmmakers to strut their stuff in Parallel Lines

Back in April of last year, we posted a very cool DARK KNIGHT-inspired short from filmmaker Adam Berg. Entitled CAROUSEL (the Grand Prix Winner at the Cannes Lion International Advertising Festival), the short film was part of a Philips-sponsored program to help promote their 21:9 cinematic televisions.

Well, now Philips is back with a project called PARALLEL LINES, which brings together the talents of Jake Scott, Greg Fay, Johnny Hardstaff, Carl Erik Rinsch, and Hi-Sim – filmmakers from Ridley Scott Associates – to create five groundbreaking, thematically-linked short films in genres of their choice. These include drama, action, animation, science fiction, and thriller, and were shot on location in Uruguay, London, Moscow, China and South Africa.

Below is the teaser trailer for PARALLEL LINES where you can catch a few glimpses of some very cool stuff. When marketing and promotions for products embrace artistry and creativity, that’s a synergy I can definitely get behind. So kudos to Philips.
