According to BATTLE: LOS ANGELES director Jonathan Liebesman, the biggest difference between this "aliens attack the world" movie versus all others, is that this one "...is from the perspective of one Marine platoon. So it's more like BLACK HAWK DOWN with aliens." Sounds awesome!! You can watch more of our interview with the director and star Aaron Eckhart RIGHT HERE, or see 3 new images from the film HERE. In the meantime, Sony just released 5 teaser posters for the movie (release date: Feb. 11, 2011), which start to peel away some of the layers of the movie. You can also check into the film's new website here.

I love that this gives me a District 9 feeling, also loving the alien movie comeback. The last poster looks like a mix between predator and the independence day aliens.

the release date
did you notice: feb 11 / 2011... 1102-2011...

I'm pretty sure there is a meaning here.

Nice posters anyway

Diggin the posters. Love the idea for this film, as I have said previously. It's like a war film, but with aliens in it....which, I guess is what the director was saying when he said it's like Black Hawk Down with aliens. I can't wait for a trailer. I know people have said before that this feels too much like District 9, but if it's anything like that film, I'm game.

Predator 4: Battle: Los Angeles
Uhhhhh, that last poster looks an awful lot like it has a Predator in the back round. Kind of weird to give away what the aliens look like in a teaser poster, especially when it looks exactly like a Predator. The rest of the posters were great though.

Fantastic posters all around! I love them and I adore the concept. Too bad Michelle Rodriguez is in this. I just am not a fan, sue me.

If the movie is as good as something like District 9, then hopefully they can keep the details on the movie secret the same way that flick did.

Looks like a watered down ID4. The aliens in that flic had been studying us for years aswell before they attacked.

ID4 wasn't very realistic whereas a gritty film like this could be much more intense and believable.

Looks interesting. I want some footage now. I like the fact the movie will focus in a city, instead all over the world.

Very cool...
Now that is a great start for marketing and it gets me excited. The creepy thing about the posters is that all of the strange events in the posters are true.

Thousands of people saw the UFO featured in the 1942 poster over Los Angeles. They fired shitloads of anti-aircraft rounds but never knew what they were firing at.
