Ford and Hartnett team
Harrison Ford hasn't had the same luck lately he once had picking film projects. He's had his share of hits (WHAT LIES BENEATH, AIR FORCE ONE) but a string of duds as well (SIX DAYS, SEVEN NIGHTS, RANDOM HEARTS). His reluctance to take roles in smaller films (he turned down the Michael Douglas role in TRAFFIC) has hurt his career as he seems to be letting his wallet do the negotiating. Let's hope a pairing with a up-and-coming actor like Josh Hartnett can help nudge his falling career in the right direction. The two are set to team in a untitled cop drama from director Ron Shelton (DARK BLUE, BULL DURHAM). The film will follow a rookie cop and an experienced vet investigating a crime within the music business. The project is expected to begin filming this fall for a 2003 release. Ford's next film, K-19: THE WIDOWMAKER, hits theaters on July 19th.
