Fox announces release dates for Wolverine 2, Fantastic Four 2 and more!

Fox has announced release dates for a few of their upcoming films, and the big one in my opinion is THE WOLVERINE 2. Earlier this week director James Mangold said he will shoot the sequel after X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, and now we know when we should expect to see the next solo Logan movie: THE WOLVERINE 2 is set to be released on March 3rd, 2017.

Josh Tranks' THE FANTASTIC FOUR won't be hitting theaters until June of next year, however Fox is already planning on a sequel (surprise, surprise), and they've announced THE FANTASTIC FOUR 2 will open on July 14th, 2017. Both films will feature Michael B. Jordan as the Human Torch, Kate Mara as the Invisible Woman, Miles Teller as Mr. Fantastic and Jamie Bell as The Thing.

Fox also revealed an untitled Fox/Marvel film will be in theaters on July 13th, 2018. There's a chance it could be the DEADPOOL movie we've been talking about for years, however it could also be the rumored THE FANTASTIC FOUR/X-MEN crossover film or Jeff Wadlow's X-FORCE movie. The mysterious film must be a pretty big deal though to land such a great summer release date.

Fox has changed previously announced release dates for a couple of their upcoming films as well. Matthew Vaughn's THE SECRET SERVICE (based on the Mark Millar comics) starring Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Caine has been pushed up from March 6th, 2015 to October 24th, 2014, and the studio's FRANKENSTEIN flick with Daniel Radcliffe has been moved from January 16th, 2015 to October 2nd, 2015.
