Fox pushes back two

05.30.2002

Twentieth Century Fox has pushed back two of their upcoming releases, DRUMLINE and SIN EATER, to later dates. DRUMLINE will shift from August 23 to the higher-profile Thanksgiving weekend while SIN EATER moves from prime Halloween time to January 17. While delaying a release date can often spell trouble for a movie, these shifts seem to imply confidence. Both films move to long weekends (Thanksgiving and Martin Luther King Day) where audiences are often at their largest. While it does give these films more exposure it leaves Fox with only one post-MINORITY REPORT summer entry - this August's teen thriller SWIMFAN.
