I feel like all the hoopla surrounding all the high profile summer films--most revolving around robots--is somehow skipping past Pixar's intriguing new film UP. This thing has all kinds of potential, and if you ask me that pudgy little kid is just about the cutest thing I ever did see. I say UP makes the most money this summer and if you disagree with me I won't give you any of my bbq chicken. Check out the new French UP poster below.

Extra Tidbit: Will UP be better than WALL-E?

Ratatouille and Wall-E went a long way to set Pixar has the best studio, regardless of the fact their movies are CGI. Based on pixar's name alone, and the fact that this will be in 3-D, it'll definitely be one of the top money makers this year.

I predict UP will be Pixar's biggest achievement to date, both financially and critically. Ratatouille and WALL-E both had polarizing stories and were a tad too artsy for the general public. UP is pretty basic compared to WALL-E, so I think it will be a huge success.

I think, 30 years from now, people are going to look at Pixar's films the same way they look at films like Pinocchio or Fantasia: absolute classics. The only Pixar film I've come close to disliking was Cars and even that wasn't too bad.

Whether or not Up makes more $$$ than WALL-E, I think they will both make a hell of a lot more down in the line in home video.

DWA makes decent entertainment. Pixar makes great art.

Meeeeeh

Maybe I'm just sick of CGI cartoons in general, sick to the point where I can't even bother to be excited about another Pixar movie, but this one just doesn't seem to hit any marks for me. From what I've seen, it just doesn't excite me any- Don't get me wrong, I like Pixar a decent chunk, but with Up, I just don't feel a thing.
And the dog is basically Ellen Degeneres in Finding Nemo anyways.

Yes, "UP" will make a lot of money (more than both WALL*E and Ratatouille) and maybe become one of Pixar's biggest hits (I do hope so). The film looks amazing, and yeah, the kid is so cute it's incredible.

As for the extra tidbit: Pixar's movies for me are incomparable; each one of these films is a masterpiece on its own (Cars excluded- it was very good, but can be compared to DW movies- same league). Every Pixar film has a unique story, original characters, and different visual appeal.
