Fringe’s John Noble signs on for a visit to Sleepy Hollow

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

I found last weeks premiere of Fox's new series "Sleepy Hollow" to be a lot more fun than expected and I'm hoping tonight's second episode is as much fun because I feel there's a very promising story to be told with the new hit show. Last week we learned that "True Blood" star James Frain had signed on for a recurring guest-starring role on the ratings surprise, and today we have learned that "Fringe" alum John Noble has signed on for a major recurring role.

Deadline is reporting that Noble has signed on to appear later in the season as 'Henry Parrish, a kind and reclusive man who possesses supernatural powers that have the potential to help the series' protagonist, Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison)'.

The role marks a return to Fox for Noble, as well as a creative reunion with "Sleepy Hollow" executive producers Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Heather Kadin, all of whom collaborated with the actor on "Fringe".

As for what to expect from tonight's episode of "Sleepy Hollow", we have the following synopsis:

A frightful vision from Ichabod's former wife, Katrina (Katia Winter), sends the unlikely duo on the hunt for a vengeful witch from the 1700s, who has been awoken by unknown evils and is on a path of destruction in the quaint town.

"Sleepy Hollow" is from K/O Paper Products in association with 20th Century Fox Television. The series is co-created by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Phillip Iscove, and Len Wiseman. The series is executive-produced by Kurtzman, Orci, Wiseman, and Heather Kadin. "Sleepy Hollow" airs on Mondays at 9/8c on Fox.
