Full trailer for Disney XD's Tron Uprising hits the grid

Last month we saw a teaser trailer for the new Disney XD animated series TRON: UPRISING and today we have the new, full trailer for the upcoming show.  Taking place between the original TRON and TRON: LEGACY films, the series features voice talents Elijah Wood, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Mandy Moore, Nate Corddry, Lance Henriksen, Paul Reubens (aka Pee-Wee Herman), Reginald VelJohnson and the original Tron himself, Bruce Boxleitner.

Check it out, program:

The more I see of this, the more I like.  It's rare to get a good, kick ass animated show on TV and I'm hoping this fills that gap.  Plus, there's just something about that neon glow that just draws you in, like a bug to a light trap.

Set your DVR, because Disney XD will debut a prelude to the show on May 18, 2012 called Tron: Uprising: Beck's Beginning and will follow that up with the premiere of the weekly show on June 7, 2012.

Here's the official synopsis for the prelude:

TRON: Uprising, Beck’s Beginning,” introduces a Beck, a young mechanic living in Argon City, a growing metropolis in a far off corner of the grid that has just been occupied by General Tesler, a henchman of the notorious Clu. After his best friend Bodhi is ruthlessly derezzed by Clu’s army, Beck seeks justice for his lost friend and launches a crusade against the regime.  His rebellion captures the attention of Tron, the greatest warrior The Grid has ever known, who sees the potential in Beck and trains him to be his successor. Labeled with the moniker of The Renegade, Beck sparks a revolution to fight for the freedom of The Grid.

Extra Tidbit: Would you like to see more shows that take place between feature films? I'm totally down for the idea as long as they've got the right property and it doesn't involve Clone troopers.
