Full trailer for Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger TV series comes to light

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

A full-length trailer Marvel and Freeform's CLOAK & DAGGER has arrived online, which finds characters Tandy Bowen/Dagger (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson/Cloak (Aubrey Joseph) desperately searching for a way to make sense of their kindred connection toward one another. Complete with nods to iconic Marvel threats like the nefarious Roxxon Corporation, the series looks to be placing the bond between Tandy and Tyrone at the center of an emotionally-charged display of power and sacrafice.

Set to arrive on Freeform come June 7th, CLOAK AND DAGGER follows two teenagers, Bowen and Johnson, who possess superpowers that link them to each other in mysterious ways. Tandy can produce daggers of pure light, while Tyrone can engulf those around him in darkness.

CLOAK AND DAGGER is poised to debut just a few weeks after Freeform's presentation of Marvel's RUNAWAYS wrapped its first season to rave reviews from both fans and critics alike. Joe Polanski will serve as showrunner for Marvel's new series, which had been created by Bill Mantlo and Ed Hannigan in the pages of Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #64 circa 1992. It's to be hoped that Freeform will experience the same level of enthusiasm for CLOAK & DAGGER as it has for RUNAWAYS, as a positive reception may lead to more quality Marvel TV shows appearing on the network.
