FXX to air 552 episodes of The Simpsons and the movie in chronological order

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Even as it sometimes feels like it may be losing steam, THE SIMPSONS will forever remain a brilliant and classic television series. With over two decades in the books, THE SIMPSONS has been in syndication for years, airing multiple times a day almost anywhere in the world. But, it was also just recently picked up by FOX sister network FXX for exclusive cable airing. So, how do you celebrate? Break a world record.

FXX will air 552 episodes of THE SIMPSONS, plus THE SIMPSONS MOVIE over a twelve day period running from August 21st at 10am EST through September 1st at 12am PST. That means at any point, 24 hours a day, for almost two weeks, you will find THE SIMPSONS on FXX. As an added bonus, the cable channel will be airing the episodes (season 1 through 25) in chronological order. THE SIMPSONS MOVIE will air after the 400th episode.

This landmark marathon will be followed by the opening of Simpsons World, an on demand website featuring vast information about the show. So, if you currently get FX or FXX via your cable provider, THE SIMPSONS will be at your complete disposal very soon. FXX will then proceed to air THE SIMPSONS in various timeslots beginning September 2nd.

I don’t know about you, but I love THE SIMPSONS. While I own the first few seasons on DVD, this will be the first chance I get to see some favorite episodes in a long time. So, clear out your DVR and get ready because this is going to be a marathon to remember.
