Gal Gadot dominates in the stunning new trailer & posters for Wonder Woman

11.03.2016

Wonder Woman banner

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers...and her true destiny. See as much in the brand new trailer for WONDER WOMAN starring Gal Gadot!

I absolutely loved the first trailer that dropped for WONDER WOMAN at SDCC, and it looks like Warner Bros. is going to continue to deliver what fans want with this character. I can only echo the sentiments of so many fans; Gal Gadot is completely owning this role! This movie looks every bit of fun as people have wanted with a DC film and whether or not that's a direct response to the DAWN OF JUSTICE/SUICIDE SQUAD criticism, I don't really care. If WONDER WOMAN proves to be every bit as compelling as its trailers, I think we'll have one of the most successful comic book movies of all time on our hands come next summer!

WONDER WOMAN opens in theaters on June 2, 2017.

On the one hand, I feel outright dumb getting my hopes up for a DC film at this point. On the otherhand, this has something going for it that Batman v Superman or Suicide Squad of the other two films had: it's director.

I personally don't think Synder is a very good director, you are entirely free to dsagree. But in hindsight, it was kind of naive of me to think that I'd actually like Batman v Superman since I disliked his other superhero films. I REALLY like some of Ayer's films (End of

But in hindsight, it was kind of naive of me to think that I'd actually like Batman v Superman since I disliked his other superhero films. I REALLY like some of Ayer's films (End of Watch, Fury) and think that others are garbage, so I should have looked at Suicide Squad as a gamble no matter how good the trailers seemed. This on the otherhand, is made by a director with a solid track record. Monster is an Oscar-bait film, but it's a dang good one and her pilots for Betrayal, and especially The Killing are solid. That is the reason why I'll continue to hold out hope for this and Affleck's Batman film. Maybe Warner Bros. will screw them up too, but I feel like the directors earn the benefit of the doubt for the moment.

Looks amazing!

I agree with some of the other commenters who said that we've been fooled before, but this really looks spectacular, they have all the right elements in place (whereas I said from the beginning that Suicide Squad had several very weak actors that made me nervous about it's quality), and Jenkins has been so passionate about the character that I really want to believe it's going to be the film that FINALLY gets DC started.

These are pretty good but I still think the Comic Con poster and trailer were much better. I hope this turns out to be great but DC films have fooled me before.

It could be good if they ignore the events that took place in the horrible B vs S movie, or the horrible Suicide Squad movie.

Not sure how you can be that uninformed (or too dumb to actually read the info about the trailer) and still FIND the internet, but this movie takes place in WW1. . . . so the events of both films won't have happened yet.

If you're going to troll, at least make an attempt to sound like you have a point.

@Des1
If we are to judge by the first scene of this trailer (it takes place in today's Louvre in Paris), it's either told as a flashback (First Avenger way) or the end of the film takes place in modern time.
So I guess SOME part will take place between BvS and JL.

She forgot to say her tagline

"I'm Batman" because this shitty universe is making everyone a brooding dark hero and destroying all the good individuality traits of everyone by making them Batman clones.

I guess people are sold on Gal Gadot now.
As others have said, please at least be a coherent, flowing, story.

The trailer looks fantastic, but then again so did the trailer for Suicide Squad and we all know how that turned out. I'm remaining neutral on this for now; I'm hoping for the best and preparing for the worst, but will withhold judgment until I see it for myself.

She practically stole Dawn of Justice alongside Affleck as Batman, and this new trailer just proves that Gadot is perfect as Wonder Woman bearing all the necessities and characteristics of the iconic superhero. Excited to see this new DC chapter unfold and to see where it leads the entire DC universe next. Hoping it's just like the DC version of Captain America: First Avenger and also much more excited for this female led superhero film than I am with Captain Marvel.

She stole BvD because she was the only person in it that wasn't mentally damaged.

Suicide Squad had some good trailers, too, and we all saw how that turned out. WB needs to put as much effort into scripts and production as they do marketing.

I admit I was a little skeptical at first but after seeing her brief appearance in BvS and this trailer, I am completely sold. Bring on WW and Justice League!!!!

Goosebumps....

I've actually been a bit cautiously optimistic due to the time frame being used; too close to Captain America. However, this movie is putting a bit of a different spin on things. I never would have thought I would get goosebumps for a Wonder Woman movie, but hot damn is she strong and beautiful. The year of the woman begins....

Looks WONDERful! ;-P

Anyone who is hating on this movie.. especially this early on... need to get over it. Forget about the cinematic universe and go into these films as standalone stories. This one is obviously the origin story which NEEDS to be told because a lot of people don't know it. I am super excited for this because so far what has been released looks great. And who cares if WB/DC is having all these issues.. they are big studio with a lot power.. they'll figure their sh*t out sooner or later.

Anywho..

Anywho.. now that this trailer has been released.. any idea who the villain is gonna be? I totally nerd-out and paused it on the scene where Wonder Woman is on top of a building (maybe?) using her lasso on someone who looks like is wearing a robe. Any ideas???

I still think it's Aries. He's been rumored, and has often been the subject of her storylines. It would make sense for them to attempt to lay WW1 at his feet, so she'd have to fight him to give humans a chance to end the war on their own.

I'm not a WW expert, but are you referring to ARES, the God Of War ? In this case, yes the WW1 setting fits indeed.

Now we're talking

There are still a few worrisome elements in this trailer.

1- The use of slow motion in action scenes. If DCEU movies weren't so associated with Zach Snyder, it wouldn't be that big of an issue but since the WW got in production while he still had a lot of influence, there's a danger that the technique will be overused just to make the universe "consistent".

2- The dim colors, for the same reason as #1. Still, there seems to be an actual artistic reason for that aspect because the scenes in Paradise Island look a lot more bright. They're probably going for a Wizard of Oz effect, where the colors changes to create a disparity between both worlds.

But those are minor issues. Slow motion isn't bad if it's used sporadically and I can accept dim colors as a concept. The rhythm of the film looks good, the music sounds good and Wonder Woman feels like Wonder Woman. I am very excited about this film.

There was no SlowMo in MoS and very few in BvS.
So the DCEU Snyder is hardly the one we know, in style...
And most other people don't even notice his visual style is different here, nor remember the one he had before.
NB AND I LOVE HIS USE OF SLOWMO !

Very cool.

some of the slow-mo scenes looks a little bit off, but like the tone in General.

I'm actually very hopeful for this movie. I've been critical of DC for what I perceived to be a rush job on their past couple of movies. Looks like they're giving Diana some room to breathe and establish herself, which is the smart move. And we still get our Justice League movie for folks who prefer team-ups.

Looks like cow dung. What is this? I hate when movies tries to go back to the old age where everything is so boring. Sick of these type of adaptions and don't let me get started with her accent. It's the most annoying accent I've ever heard. Where tf is she from? It's suppose to be an American comic but all I see is a foriegn immigrant invading the Great Depression.
