After her appearance in BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE whetted our appetites for the Amazonian warrior princess, the release of Wonder Woman's first feature-film is now just two weeks away. WONDER WOMAN will depict the origin of the iconic hero, who leaves the island of Themyscira behind when American pilot Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) crashes on her shores and tells her of the massive conflict raging in the outside world. Despite not being as impressed with Warner Bros.' previous DCEU entries as I had hoped, I'm still quite pumped to see what Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot can bring to WONDER WOMAN. A brand new poster has been unveiled featuring Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) wielding her lasso of truth, as well as a handful of new photos from the film, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, which you can check out below.
The official synopsis for WONDER WOMAN:
Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers… and her true destiny.
WONDER WOMAN will hit theaters on June 2, 2017.
