Game of Thrones already renewed for a fourth season

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

I resisted GAME OF THRONES for as long as I could and ended up cramming the first two seasons in the week before the premiere of season three. Needless to say, I am hooked by the show and now that I have to wait each week for the next chapter, I am foaming at the mouth.

While the premiere episode drew about a third of what THE WALKING DEAD has been getting each week, almost 5 million viewers is good enough for HBO to lock in a fourth season of the show to premiere in 2014. The fourth season will likely focus on the second half of the third book, A Storm of Swords. I would think because of the massive scope of the remaining novels in the series, we can expect every two seasons to cover each successive novel.

GAME OF THRONES already has a massive amount of characters to focus on and only films 10 episodes each season. I couldn’t help but feel that each of the first two seasons were leaving out a ton of subplots and details, which makes me want to read the books even more. I hope the third season does even better at balancing the growing cast of characters because I want to see where this show will go.

Here is a look at the next episode of GAME OF THRONES.
