We haven't heard much about the upcoming CG-animated GATCHAMAN, an adaptation of the popular anime "Science Ninja Team Gatchaman", and that's probably because there's just not a whole lot of information out there. Somebody at the recent Anime Expo, however, managed to get a bootleg of the film's new trailer and, though the quality is pretty terrible, at least it gives us some idea of what we can expect. And apparently we can expect some pretty neat things. The story follows five teens with powers who become the world's only hope to stop an evil villain. It's set for release next year.

Extra Tidbit: The original 1972 anime series was followed by two sequel series, Gatchaman II in 1978 and Gatchaman F in 1979.

SWEET!! My first love of anime was Battle of the Planets and later got to see the original Gatchaman version. Can't wait to see it!!!
