George Miller won't be directing Man of Steel 2 but confirms meeting with WB
Jon Schnepp may have jumped the gun when he said George Miller will be directing MAN OF STEEL 2, although we should probably start calling it "the currently untitled planned solo Superman movie." Miller said "There's been some of that in the mix," when Digital Spy asked him about the 'Supes directing rumors and if he's had a conversation with Warner Bros. However, he went on to say "it's probably not true."
Well, that's a bummer and, unfortunately, I have some more bad news. While Miller does say there have been discussions about his MAD MAX: FURY ROAD follow-up scripts, it doesn't sound like a FURY ROAD sequel will be George Miller's next directorial effort, since he hopes his next movie "is a very small film without any special effects and not many stunts."
Obviously things could change, but right now it looks like Miller won't be behind the camera for MAN OF STEEL 2 and also won't be making a MAD MAX: FURY ROAD sequel in the immediate future. What type of film would you like to see Miller direct next?
