Get a peek at NOTLD: Genesis with this work print clip

With so many variations (remakes, rip-offs and re-imaginings) of George Romero’s classic NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD floating around, it’s hard to keep track of them all. In just the past few years we’ve seen a slew of NOTLD-inspired flicks, from MIMESIS: NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD 3D, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: ORIGINS, to NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: RESURRECTION, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: REANIMATION and countless others. And I’m not even counting the so-called sequels and other NOTLD cash-ins. So it is not surprising that some of them slip under our radar and we have a hard time finding updates on these flicks from time to time.

Another NOTLD flick that we haven’t heard much from in a while is director Matt Cloude’s re-imagining of the classic film as told through the eyes of Barbra, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: GENESIS (see our original article on this film HERE). While fans can keep track of this new take on Romero’s flick via the films Facebook and Twitter profiles, we somehow managed to miss out on a new 2 minute work-print clip that the filmmakers shared with their followers back in December. But we’re going to rectify that today.

Matt Cloude’s re-imagining of George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead will pay homage to the timeless classic while expanding upon its storyline to explore more of the night when the dead began to rise by chronicling the events through the eyes of lead heroine Barbra. Every legend has a beginning.

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: GENESIS is written by Cloude and Wil Smith. The film stars Judith O’Dea, Sarah Snyder, Mike Lord, David Witt, Donna Gee Rousseau, Cyrus Samson, Christy Johnson, David Crawford, Jessica Dole, Jim Krut, Mike Christopher, David Early, Heidi Hinzman, John Migliore and Wade Brown.
