Get a quick preview of ChloŽ Grace Moretz's powers in this sneak for the Carrie trailer

ET has release a short snippet of the trailer for the CARRIE remake that is said to made its debut online tomorrow. I'm okay with this because it's not a trailer for a trailer-- it's just a tease. I figure those out there who were curious about the remake since the only thing we've gotten is a teaser that showed nothing might enjoy getting a look at this.

I can't judge much from what I see here, but I do know that Chloë Grace Moretz is very pretty. That counts for something doesn't it? Why would anyone make funny of a girl that is so pretty? She does act a little strange in the preview. Carrie was definitely a little off. Tomorrow we will get to see a better picture of what director Kimberly Peirce (BOYS DON'T CRY) has done with the material. Frequent Marvel comics writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa scripted the adaptation of Stephen King's 1974 novel.

Plot: A sheltered high school girl unleashes her newly developed telekinetic powers after she is pushed too far by her peers.

I've seen Chloe in enough roles to know not to underestimate her ability to play out a part. Chubby and acne covered didn't happen in the original movie and it won't happen here. Awkward and bullied recluse however, she'll live up to it.

I agree with the OP about how Chloe almost looks too good in the role & the fact the role needs to make her like a nobody & seems to glorify her in a sense. Thats what made the original so unique since Sissy Spacek played her to a T. Don;t get me wrong i still wanna see this film, one of the few remakes that has my attention, the other being Evil Dead.

Not liking the casting now so much

Don't get me wrong I welcomed a remake and everyone involved in this. I think Chloe is great and so is Julianne and the filmmakers want to deliver a great film. But seeing these clips, the casting of Carrie appears way off. In the book Carrie is a chubby, acne covered, awkward recluse. Chloe may have the acting chops to appear odd and delicate but she is way too cute to be taken as a geek to humiliate. Guess I just have to see more footage to judge
