Dwayne Johnson

Dwayne Johnson has been sending out set updates for HERCULES: THE THRACIAN WAR from his Twitter account including this image of his lovely locks and yesterday he tweeted the best image yet of the actor as the classic character. The picture still isn't a great shot of Johnson but it is about how you would imagine how he'd look as Hercules: a giant muscle wearing sandles and a tunic. Johnson also tweeted about an epic scene involving hundreds of Hungarian extras and thanked them for their help with the film. Sure HERCULES: THE THRACIAN WARS has Brett Ratner directing but it could still turn out to be a fun movie. Or at least better than THE SCORPION KING.

Synopsis:

Haunted by a sin from his past, Hercules has become a mercenary. Along with five faithful companions, he travels ancient Greece selling his services for gold and using his legendary reputation to intimidate enemies. But when the benevolent ruler of Thrace and his daughter seek Hercules' help to defeat a savage and terrifying warlord, Hercules finds that in order for good to triumph and justice to prevail… he must again become the hero he once was… he must embrace his own myth… he must be Hercules.

HERCULES: THE THRACIAN WARS also stars Ian McShane, John Hurt and Joseph Fiennes and will be in theaters on July 25th, 2014.
