DADDY’S HOME 2 may not be the comedy sequel you’re begging for, but it’s the one you’re certainly going to keep an eye on because it has legend Mel Gibson and John Lithgow in it. Something about that just sounds insane, and if the new trailer for the movie is any evidence than the movie itself will be filled with crazy comedy shenanigans. Check it out above, and try not to get lost in the husky-blue eyes of Gibson.
The first film wasn't as good as another Will Ferrell/Mark Wahlberg film, THE OTHER GUYS, but something tells me the added chemistry of Gibson, John Lithgow and even John Cena could shake things up a bit. The movie comes out only one week after A BAD MOMS CHRISTMAS (and THOR: RAGNAROK, for that matter) so I don't think the movie will be able to make the same as the first, which means a DADDY'S HOME 3 probably isn't in the cards. So much for bringing in Kirk Douglas and Stan Lee as even older dads.
