Get strapped down with Jack Black in this poster for Gulliver's Travels

A lot of you may have forgotten about GULLIVER'S TRAVELS.

It's an easy thing to do when there's been zero news on it for awhile now.

But wait! The people over at Empire have spotted a giant outdoor display of Jack Black tied down by the Lilliputians as Gulliver. This was found on their first day of Cannes, which we should have some coverage of coming your way soon.

Just to refresh, the newest installment of GULLIVER'S TRAVELS stars Black, Jason Segel, Emily Blunt, Amanda Peet, TJ Miller, Romany Malco, Billy Connelly, and Catherine Tate and is directed by Rob Letterman (MONSTERS VS. ALIENS). The film is due out and in 3D just in time for Christmas on December 22, 2010.

Here's our synopsis:

"In this contemporary re-imagining of Jonathan Swift’s classic tale, Jack Black stars as Lemuel Gulliver, a struggling writer who works as a mail delivery person at a major newspaper. To impress the travel editor, Gulliver finally ventures into uncharted waters – on a boat bound for the Bermuda Triangle. But the storm-tossed voyage lands him on a very different kind of island, one populated by a tiny civilization known as Lilliputians. After a rocky beginning, the gargantuan Gulliver becomes an inspiration to his new 6-inch-tall friends and they begin to learn from one another. Leading the Lilliputians to a victory over their neighboring island nemesis, Gulliver must still combat a mechanical giant – and come to terms with his own shortcomings – to finally emerge from his own little world."
