Get up close and personal with these character portraits from The Walking Dead season 3

We're less than a month away from the premiere for the third season of AMC's The Walking Dead and the marketing machine is in full tilt boogie. Today, we have a look at some character portraits from the show, which are well-shot, well-let pics that let you get up close and personal with the actors "in character." Sometimes, the best marketing is the most simple and I think that's the case here. In a show that revolves around character, it's the perfect showcase for the talent involved.

Featuring all your (surviving) favorites and two new faces (David Morrissey's The Governor and Danai Gurira's Michonne), the cast is all here for your viewing pleasure.

Who will survive?

Season 3 of AMC's The Walking Dead, starring Andrew Lincoln, Sarah Wayne Callies, David Morrissey, Danai Gurira, Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Scott Wilson, Robert Singleton, Norman Reedus, Michael Rooker, Emily Kinney, and Melissa McBride premieres on October 14, 2012.

Extra Tidbit: Anyone planning on having a season 3 "survival" pool?

Why have a character in a show that does absolutely nothing? I am of course referring to T Dog.
He doesn't even have lines half the time, I was very surprised he survived season 2.

Either way really looking forward to season 3, the prison. Michonne and the Governor.

Couldn't agree with you more. T-Dog is dead weight in the show. The best part of it, though, is that his uselessness isn't thrown in your face every episode. He just kind of shows up, delivers a line or two, and then takes off. I guess that's kind of a blessing in disguise.

What happened to the right side of his head?

And his weight. I hope he's looking that unwell on purpose :(

I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't but I laughed out loud the moment I saw Carl's face. Haha!

Why shouldn't you? The show makes his character deplorable. Same with Lori. They either need to be written differently or exit stage left.
