Get your head together for this teaser poster of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

I have to admit that I have kind of a soft spot for the sick depravity that is the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series.  I’m not a major horror fan, but I certainly have my favorites in the genre and these films, from best to worst, are among them. Also, the hot-chicks-in-white-tank-top thing is always a win.

Although I don’t care about the 3D aspect, THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 3D sounds like it might be chock full of cheap thrills and sadistic punishment, with a couple of hot, young talent to torture.  Said talent for this pic comes in the form of Tania Raymonde (LOST, MTV’s Death Valley) and Alexandra Daddario (HALL PASS, PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS), two exceptionally fine-looking horror movie cliche actresses that will no doubt deliver the screams and cleavage. In addition, the cast also includes Bill Moseley, Scott Eastwood, Richard Riehle, and a cameo from the legendary Gunnar Hansen.

The new poster for the flick is a really cool, really freaky get up, featuring Leatherface’s collection of “faces.” Oh, and before I forget, no worries about the rating, as this one has already gotten its “R,” so rest easy on that one.

Don’t stare too long:

Here’s the synopsis:

Lionsgate’s TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D continues the legendary story of the homicidal Sawyer family, picking up where Tobe Hooper’s 1974 horror classic left off in Newt, Texas, where for decades people went missing without a trace. The townspeople long suspected the Sawyer family, owners of a local barbeque pit, were somehow responsible. Their suspicions were finally confirmed one hot summer day when a young woman escaped the Sawyer house following the brutal murders of her four friends. Word around the small town quickly spread, and a vigilante mob of enraged locals surrounded the Sawyer stronghold, burning it to the ground and killing every last member of the family – or so they thought.

Decades later and hundreds of miles away from the original massacre, a young woman named Heather learns that she has inherited a Texas estate from a grandmother she never knew she had. After embarking on a road trip with friends to uncover her roots, she finds she is the sole owner of a lavish, isolated Victorian mansion. But her newfound wealth comes at a price as she stumbles upon a horror that awaits her in the mansion’s dank cellars…

THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 3D starts cutting it up in theaters on January 4, 2013.
