It should be difficult for true horror fans to discuss the genre and not mention influential veteran Dario Argento.

The Italian master has dabbled in various material during his lengthy career (he co-wrote Leone's ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST, for example), but is undoubtedly best known for his "giallo" works like SUSPIRIA, TENEBRE, DEEP RED and INFERNO. He's taking a page from his own book with his latest, bluntly titled GIALLO.

The movie features Oscar-winner Adrien Brody as an inspector on the hunt for a mysterious murderer known only as Yellow (which is, of course, the literal translation of "giallo"). Elsa Pataky of SNAKES ON A PLANE and the upcoming GIVE 'EM HELL MALONE also stars. The movie is due in September. Dig the trailer below.

Extra Tidbit: Argento worked with George Romero on DAWN OF THE DEAD and shepherded its European release.

I really hope --
DITTO@Vlad99 on what you said.

Can't wait to see this, despite some mixed (and confusing) reviews so far.

Brody looks cool, the ladies hot, and Argento seeming savage, so this might be okay.

Fingers crossed, after the poor MOTHER OF TEARS.

I really want this to be good!
I love many scenes from all the different Argento films, but to say I love his movies would be a lie. They all start off with a bang and end with a flourish, but too much doesn't make sense in between. I think he would benefit from co-directing with someone who can get his shit together and make some sense of it all. And easy on the super loud heavy metal already! Jeez!
