Gibson & Lithgow bring the awkward in new trailer for Daddy’s Home 2

There's few things that are more intense for new couples than family members meeting for the first time. Such is the case for Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg in the new trailer for DADDY'S HOME 2. Directed by Sean Anders, this outrageous comedy sequel aims to place Ferrell's movie dad, John Lithgow, directly in the rough-and-tumble crosshairs of Wahlberg's silver screen father, Mel Gibson.

In the sequel to the 2015 global smash, father and stepfather, Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) and Brad (Will Ferrell) have joined forces to provide their kids with the perfect Christmas. However, their newfound partnership is put to the test when Dusty’s old-school, macho Dad (Mel Gibson) and Brad’s ultra-affectionate and emotional Dad (John Lithgow) arrive just in time to throw the holiday into complete chaos.

Fun Fact: In just three week's time, my wife and I will be gathering out families together for the very first time, after nearly five years of our being a couple (married last year). The funny thing is that her mom is totally the Mel Gibson of the bunch while mine is most definitely the John Lithgow. It's going to be one hell of an interesting time, as I'm sure DADDY'S HOME 2 will be as well, because this trailer had me belly-laughing real good for its duration. I'm thinking that I'll have to check this one out when it comes to theaters.

DADDY'S HOME 2 stars Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Linda Cardellini, John Cena, John Lithgow & Mel Gibson. The film will awkwardly arrive in theaters on November 10th.
