Go behind the scenes of Transformers 5’s 3D tech in new featurette

TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT will work as the final directorial outing for Michael Bay in the realm of fighting robots. To mark this departure he’s going out with a bang, and will do so by filming THE LAST KNIGHT in IMAX 3D, a feat which has never been done.  The movie is also being shot natively, which as Bay describes is “two cameras, two eyes.” The result is to give the 3D much more depth and resolution for the ultimate robot bashing experience. But don’t listen to me, and instead let the man explain it to you in the BTS featurette.

Say what you will about these movies but it's refreshing to know Bay and his crew are doing their best to make these movies about punching robots look as amazing as they can. The footage from the trailers does look terrific, and if I see this movie (I will…) it will be in IMAX 3D. I'm not seeing this movie in 2D on some normal screen, like a punk.

TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT arrives June 23.
