Go behind the scenes on Total Recall in this featurette

Apr. 3, 2012by: Niki Stephens

Admit it, the trailer for the TOTAL RECALL remake looked decent. Okay, if you weren't at least a little interested, you must have amazing will power. I don't.

I really loved the original, but Paul Verhoeven's was not even close to a sci-fi masterpiece. It was still a hell of a fun movie though. This is going to be fun as hell too. Entertainment Tonight got some behind the scenes action for this new featurette. It's not much, but you can stare at Kate Beckinsale. Also, I can't help thinking that Alice Braga would be better in Jessica Biel's part.

Check it out below.

They would have been better off adapting a different Phillip K. Dick work, then remaking something that it will constantly be compared to.

I wonder how Lucas got his clone troopers into thie film?

I don't get the hype after the trailer. First of all, they said they didn't want to make a remake of the original movie but rather concentrate on the source material and then I was okay with that. But after the trailer, which was made basically of only reshot cult scenes from the Arnold CLASSIC movie I lot of interest in this. Oh and the generic design of the movie doesn't help either

I'll still see it though (I love sci-fi, the original and I like Colin), but definitely not in the theatre

Looking good

I'm with Nikki on this, mostly. I wasn't looking forward to it but the trailer has piqued my interest. To suggest that the original wasn't a sci-fi classic is a bit much though. It's one of the Verhoeven's three great sci-fi satires (Robocop, Recall, Starship Troopers)

Though, Alice Braga? Really? From I Am Legend?!?

She's terrible. Just terrible. Biel is a much better actress.

I'm also looking forward to Kate Beckinsale as a villain. I've never been a fan of hers really, she's got all

I'm also looking forward to Kate Beckinsale as a villain. I've never been a fan of hers really, she's got all her success from being the daughter of an acclaimed British actor and marrying the right people.

However, looking that good and being evil? I'll take some of that.

Preach Apples, preach!

I'm not opposed to the remake, I never am as long as it's well made but shame on you Nikki.

Shitting on my most famous countryman and his genius film.

Not interested

I have no care for this movie whatsoever. Contrary to the statement that the original "was not even close to a sci-fi masterpiece," I'd like to point out that the original wasn't just a fun action movie, but it was also a sharp social satire on the Gulf-War and has a lot to say about individual identity. Plus, it does that while also being a really fun Arnold Schwarzenegger action vehicle. To do all that in one movie, and to do it so well, earns you the right to call your movie a Masterpiece.

This one, looks pretty bland and uninspired.
