Goldblum plays it coy when asked about a Jurassic sequel with Laura Dern

Hands down, one of the most exciting aspects regarding JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM is that Jeff Goldblum will be reprising his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm for the Save-The-Dinosaurs sequel. Recently, the legendary THOR: RAGNAROK star and meme come to life, Goldblum, has been making the rounds while talking about how excited he is to be a part of the franchise, once again. Such as being the case, it was during a guest spot on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that Goldblum was asked if he'll play a larger part in the third film of the latest Jurassic trilogy. Furthermore, the "ham-it-up-for-the-fans" actor also addressed a recent rumor that Laura Dern will be joining him on the adventure to come.

When asked directly about Dern's participation, Goldblum got real coy, and responded by saying " I, uh, I can’t divulge anything, but maybe … maybe. Maybe she will.” Can't divulge anything my mud-smooshing Tyrannosaurus foot! While I can't hold Goldblum to anything at the moment, the manner in which he delivers his response has me thinking that something is "in-the-works" for Dern to appear in the yet-to-be-titled Jurassic World sequel. Was Goldblum just being Goldblum? Or, is he just really terrible at keeping secrets? Either way, the prospect of either Goldblum or Dern playing a larger role in the future of the franchise is an exciting prospect indeed, and I'd welcome either one of them back with open arms.

“There’s gonna be another one that some people may or may not be in. That’s all I can say,” Goldblum teased.

In what we know about the film so far, JURASSIC WORLD 3 will be written by Emily Carmichael along with Colin Trevorrow, who directed the 2015 Jurassic reboot and co-wrote JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM with Derek Connolly. Trevorrow will executive produce Fallen Kingdom with Steven Spielberg, whose latest film, READY PLAYER ONE, arrives in theaters this coming Friday.
