Like assuredly many of you, I’m a huge Guy Pearce fan and was therefore disappointed the last few years when I went to go see him in THE HURT LOCKER and THE ROAD, only to see him onscreen for a matter of minutes in each.
But now it seems the actor has secretly joined up with another new project, hopefully one that gets him a bit more screen time. According to CHUD, a tipster and a few follow up emails have confirmed that he’s joined the cast of Ridley Scott’s ALIEN quasi-prequel PROMETHEUS where he’s been spotted on set.
No word on his role, but Pearce joins the already stacked cast of Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba, Noomi Rapace and Charlize Theron, and I think it’s safe to say it’s time to start getting unreasonably excited about this movie.
I’ve been a Scott doubter for a while now in the wake of a string of underwhelming films, but I’m holding out hope can reclaim some of his past magic by returning to sci-fi.
