Halloween 2 clip

05.25.2009

Rob Zombie's rampage continuation HALLOWEEN 2 arrives later this year in time for the holiday (of Labor Day), but for now you can get a very brief glimpse of murderous madman Michael Myers stalking and slashing, courtesy of MTV.

The movie picks up right after Zombie's white trash-injected remake, and involves a masked maniac who's merely misunderstood. And if you thought the first one was a parade of familiar faces, keep an eye out this time for Margot Kidder, Howard Hesseman, Weird Al Yankovic, Zombie's HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES victim Chris Hardwick, "Coach"/"The Stand" dimwit Bill Fagerbakke, and the Buy More boss from "Chuck".

Anyway, check out the clip below.

Extra Tidbit: John Carpenter says "Thanks for the check."

Yeah, I guess I'm kind of "on the fence" about this one as well as the first one. Some classics should be left alone. Either way, I'll probably see it. I'm a Zombie fan.

I hate the remake

However, I watched some of the scenes in the middle recently (the ones which were the only parts at least somewhat close to the original) and I enjoyed it more than I remembered. But it was just those scenes. Unfortunately, this sequel doesn't look like it has any saving grace. And what bothers me most about Michael in these remakes isn't even so much the mask, it's his demeanor. He acts like such a little baby; it's goofy. He doesn't seem heartless, he just seems confused. And that does NOT

And that does NOT work for Mr. Myers.

I love Zombie so I'm excited for this reguardless.. but I'm still not sure how to feel about Michael having a hood on in certain scenes. That's not "the shape" we have come to know. PUN INTENDED :)
