The teaser trailer has arrived for rocker-filmmaker Rob Zombie's controversial "re-invention" of Carpenter's horror classic HALLOWEEN, and it basically doesn't do much to assuage my initial instinctive reaction: aside from the commerce argument, who really wanted/needed this?
Anyway, the trailer has the new Loomis (the great Malcolm McDowell) rasping through the brief exposition about psycho Michael, with plenty of glimpses of the Shatner-masked Shape being all menacing and stuff. I don't think I can force myself to care enough to write more, so just check out the trailer for yourself RIGHT HERE.
Also, while I understand the business aspects of releasing certain horror movies in the summer, wouldn't this one (being named for an actual pseudo-holiday and all) really benefit from an October release?!? Eh, what do I know... (Now that I think about it, they'll probably have the DVD on the shelves the week before Halloween. $$$!!!)
||I anxiously await the next good zombie movie far more than the next good Zombie movie.
