Strike Back below!

T-Rex

Seems like it's been a really long time getting to screens (especially after it got booted from Thanksgiving so TWILIGHT would have breathing room), but the sixth kid-wizard tale HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE is finally arriving on July 15th.

Most true Potter fans out there already know the story by now (Harry gets a lesson in Voldemort history), but you can see nearly two and a half minutes of it come to life below!

ok then
I am excited about this movie, as I am a HP fan, and all that jazz. But I really really really hate what they're doing with the lighting and the green screening. I hope it doesn't look that shitty at the actual cinema. I hope it's just tweaked this way for the trailers.

Holy fucking shit that looks epic. These movies have actually started to become legit films instead of the book brought to the screen. They're starting to get that Lord of the Rings feel to them. Ever since part 3 these movies have gotten so fucking dark and eerie, like the books.. I really can't believe how good this one looks.

I don't know what you're talking about. It looks like they included the major battles to me, especially based on the trailer. This directly directly references all the major showdowns in the book that I can think of.

I'm just became even more excited for this. The Half-Blood Prince looks like it may be the best Potter film since The Goblet of Fire (my favorite in the movie series).

I heard it wasnt that good
...from early review. Very much like the 5th, except this was actually a better book. I cant remember, was there a big battle in the sixth, cause if so it was cut from this movie.

Sweet Dumbledore's G-String!
This flick is gonna be amazing. Personally, I loved what Yates did with the last one, and was pleased to hear that he's finishing the series.

But this one's looking like it's gonna be tough to top.

Yates
This trailer looks really impressive, but I think that fans are a little hard on David Yates. Remember, the last Potter movie was the first one not written by Steve Kloves. It is possible that the directing was not the fault of this movie; instead, Michael Goldenberg may have been to blame. Perhaps he didn't have the right handle on the material, as opposed to Kloves, who wrote the other...

It is possible that the directing was not the fault of this movie; instead, Michael Goldenberg may have been to blame. Perhaps he didn't have the right handle on the material, as opposed to Kloves, who wrote the other four films. This marks the return of Steve Kloves, but perhaps Order of the Phoenix would have been better if he penned the script.

very awesomely awesome. this was always my favorite from the series, and even though I was a little nervous with Yates directing again (not a fan of the 5th movie), I don't think I'll be disappointed.

I still think Alfonso Cuaron should be directing Deathly Hallows. After watching Children of Men, the final battle alone in book 7 just channels his style. But it's all good either...
