Solid Roster.

So nice to hear some reasonable criticism for Green Lantern. Was it flawed? Yes. But terrible it was not. The cast was exceptional, and the concept design & CG was perfect for the character. Hopefully, this rumor of RR's return is true. Sadly, my biggest reservation is still the lack of solo films (for at least Wonder Woman). J'onn's presence would really ease my concern. Especially if he was the "Nick Fury" device bringing them all together.

This line up would make sense if they followed the Marvel way, introducing each character in separate movies, and then going all out with Justice League. But as it stands these are very large and complex characters to be hastily introduced and developed in a single movie.
I would've much preferred a mix of established and less known characters: Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, Blue Beetle, Ice, Dr Fate, etc.

I say keep Ryan Reynolds, they can do a serious tone with him if they want too. p.s That Alex Ross pic is totally bad ass would love a huge blow up of that hanging on my wall.

That alone is worth tearing the script into millions of little pieces... Flash was considered the goofball of the group but he was more of a joke in the media than a "favorite" that honor always went to Wonderwoman and Superman.

Are they still aiming for a 2015 release? Yeah, good luck with that. Simply put, too many characters, too little time. They should stop trying to beat Marvel in a game that they have lost already and work on creating their own cinematic universe. They need to reboot Batman and possibly even Green Lantern, considering how badly it failed... A project this big, requires time and careful planning, it just seems to me that they are going in half cocked in order to have an event movie of their own

This is the line up I was hoping for (with the exception of Captain Marvel who should be included)! I am
relieved to hear that AQUAMAN is going to be in the film (if this rumor turns out to be true) as long as he's not made out to be a joke, which he most certainly is not. Flash - YES, Aquaman [link] are going to screw this up. They are putting themselves in a position to NEED Ryan Reynolds. The more I read about this the more zeros get added to the end of the check they will have to write Christian Bale in an effort to get him on board for what I am sure will be a glorified cameo. Marvel's heaviest hitter with the casual comic book reader or the general public is Spider-Man. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman are widely known already, Green Lantern's story is establshed, so that leaves Flash, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter. Of those three, the Manhunter probably needs the most development as he's the least known. Darkseid is an epic villain a la Darth Vader, not a one-hit wonder.

What DC should do is go for a trilogy in an epic scale. As I said before, think Lord of The Rings or Star Wars instead of aping Marvel. Marvel's strategy was one tat involved a lot of risks, smart directorial choices, and a certain level of self-confidence bordering on pigheadedness in ight of possible pitfalls (Hulk/The Incredible Hulk anyone?). Warner Brothers cannot just mimic this multi-year strategy. Instead think Justice League like the Dark Knight Series, an epic story in three chapters if they want to set their mark.

I look forward to what happens in 2015 espceially as The Man of Steel is shaping up well.

Assuming Cavill and Reynolds return as Supes and GL, that leaves us with casting the rest. Imma go with:
- Gina Carano as WW (has always been my first choice)
- Liam Hemsworth for Aquaman (love the irony)
- Chewitel Eljifor for MM
- not sure for Flash since I don't know if this is supposed to be Barry Allen or Wally West
- and for Batman they should just put a stunt guy in a batsuit and dubover Kevin Conroy's voice throughout the whole thing.

I really hope this movie turns out to be great. And after reading the descriptions for each character, I really hope that Reynolds comes back as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern since I loved that movie and him as the hero.

If I were casting, Henry Cavill as Superman, Jon Hamm as Batman, Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern, Bradley Cooper as The Flash, and Alexander Skaarsgard or Josh Holloway for Aquaman. I don't know who I would pick for Wonder Woman or Martian Manhunter.

I'm excited for this film and no one can take that from me, it's the line up I hoped for, the villain I want, I say bring back Ryan Reynolds as GL seeing as he wasn't the reason Green lantern sucked and just go for it all on this one, don't look towards the franchise potential just go and make a hell of a superhero film DC and WB.

I agree with Guy. They're trying to be Marvel, but it took Marvel YEARS to get to that results.
Except for DC fans, nobody cares or even knows about half of their characters. They don't even have a new Batman yet. No wonder they're trying to get Gordon-Levitt, because they don't want to take their time to establish a new Batman. This movie is doomed and it will KILL any new interesting Batman film to come.

I genuinely don't think this movie will happen.

Maybe one day in the future of course, but I really can't see it happening within the next five years or so. They're trying much much too hard and for all the wrong reasons.

Take a step back WB, breathe in, forget rushing to meet The Avengers, take your time and do it properly.

I don't like the idea of this movie. Don't get wrong, I love comic book movies, I just don't think the DC universe has done a good job at creating a continuous universe the way marvel did. After the first Iron Man movie, Marvel began to lay all the ground work for the Avengers movies. None of that has been done by DC. I can't picture the Nolan Batman in an world where Aliens exist, nor do I want to. Man of Steel seems to have a completely different tone to the Batman movies as well. What

I'd be happy to see Ryan Renolds back along with Henry Cavill should he work out in Man of Steel. The rest, good luck. WB really screwed up by not catching up to Marvel's multi-verse. Perfect Line-Up!

Hope they can handle the introduction of all these big characters, would prefer the Marvel route with some getting a solo-film first.
They could (and should) do Wonder Woman and Flash movies first and introduce Aquaman in Justice League to show that he IS badass and deserves his own movie.

But I think the movie is still far away, so wait and see...
